Cartridges containing strong anionic resin inside are used to eliminate substances present in the water in the form of nitrates.
Through an ion exchange process the resin is in fact able to retain the anions present in the water, releasing hydroxylation.
Depending on the size of the cartridge you can have different autonomies of use, after which it is necessary to replace the cartridge with a new one. The contained resins are particularly sensitive to the degrading action of chlorine, therefore their installation in the water main’s water should be accompanied by an activated carbon cartridge (CAT or CE) as pre-filtration and a blown melt or wrapped thread cartridge (PP or CFA) as post-filtration.
This type of cartridge is suitable for use in small domestic and industrial systems.
