CAT is a transparent container in non-toxic plastic material suitable for food use, containing inside granular activated carbon derived from coconuts.
Its task is to eliminate odours and flavours due to chlorine and other organic compounds, and the activated carbon also performs an effective absorbent action against many potentially hazardous substances present in drinking water.
Due to its low filtering power, this cartridge requires the use upstream of a pre-filter to protect the carbon inside the cartridge. In addition, being subject to a progressive saturation, carbon requires replacement.
